Composed in 2013, this homage to the Lute Suites of JS Bach won the composition prize offered that year by the Australian Bach Society & the Classical Guitar Society of Victoria. Written for the modern EADGBE guitar but in the style of Bach’s so-called lute suites, this new suite is based on three short phrases from those revered works. Five movements: Prelude, Courante, Sarabande, Bouree and Gigue.
