Known as Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in English, the original is a French song published in the 1760s as Ah! vous diral-je, Maman. It has several other titles ascribed to it, including The Alphabet song and Baa Baa, Black Sheep.  As Twinkle Twinkle it has the catalogue number 7666 in the Roud Folk Song Index.
